Christian Bale (30 de enero de 1974) es un actor galés nacido en Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Gales, Reino Unido.
Debutó en teatro con la obra The Nerd (1984) y en cine con 'El imperio del sol' al ser elegido entre más de 4000 niños por Steven Spielberg.
Ha interpretado casi 40 películas, entre las que destacan 'El imperio del sol' (1987), 'Newsies' (1992), 'Velvet goldmine' (1998), 'American Psycho' (2000), 'El nuevo mundo' (2005) , 'Batman Begins' (2005), 'I'm not there'(2007) y 'The Dark Knight' (2008).
El 29 de Enero del año 2000 se casó con Sibi Blasic, asistente personal de la actriz Winona Ryder, en Las Vegas (Nevada). Tienen una hija en común nacida en 2005 en Santa Mónica (California).
