WALHBERG SE PREOCUPA POR CHRISTIAN
Christian Bale ya ha perdido 20 kilos de peso para interpretar al ex-boxeador Eklund, y Mark Wahlberg co-protagonista y amiguete de Christian interpreta a su hermanastro “Irish” Micky Ward. Y ya se admiran y quieren como verdaderos hermanos.
Aparentemente, Bale y Wahlberg permanecen juntos durante los rodajes (cuando Christian no desaparece) lo que ha forjado una buena amistad, hasta el punto en que Mark ha confesado que se siente preocupado por el bajo peso de su amigo y le ha pedido que coma.
Christian Bale ha perdida ya 20 kilos para dar credibilidad a su personaje, un hombre adicto al crack y ex-boxeador. Mark Wahlberg iestá tratando de convercer a su amigo para que se tome su salud en serio:
'¡Tienes que comer tío!. ¡Tú estás jugando con tu salud!-
“You gotta eat man. You’re messing with your health!” Mark Wahlberg said.
“Christian es un actor de método,” comentaron al 'the Enquirer'. “Si el tiene que parecer un adicto, lo hará.”
'El daño se hace cuando vuelve a intentar estabilizar su peso, cuando el vuelva a comer para su próximo rol. Las dietas yo-yo son muy peligrosas. Mark y Christian son amigos, y Mark se preocupa con todo lo concerniente a él.'
“But the danger comes after he takes off that weight, and then eats everything in sight to put it back on for the next role. That kind of yo-yo dieting can be deadly. Mark and Christian are friends, and Mark is concerned about him.”

“It’s crazy. Christian has been living on fruit and water. He’s emaciated,” the source said. “Besides eating practically nothing, he exercises a lot to keep the weight off.
Wahlberg - a health fanatic who worked himself into great shape to play a champion boxer in “The Fighter” - has begged Bale to stop dieting, said the source.
'Mark siente que Christian está llevándolo demasiado lejos. Él teme que Christian se convierta en alguien tan delgado como Karen Carpenter*, y se preocupa por su corazón.'
*(Karen Carpenter fue una actriz que padeció anorexia y murió a causa de esta)
“Mark feels Christian is taking the whole ‘in character’ thing too far. He’s afraid Christian is getting Karen Carpenter-thin, and he’s worried about his heart,” the source divulged.
Mark quiere que Christian actúe como un trabajo, sin arriesgar para ello su salud.
“He wants Christian to realize that acting is a job, and it’s not worth risking your health.”
