Biografía:
Nació el 30 de enero de 1974 en Pembrokeshire, Gales, aunque se crió en Oxfordshire y Dorset en Inglaterra, así como en Portugal, y en California. Es el menor de cuatro hermanos. Una hermana se dedica a la informática, otra es música y otra directora de teatro. Su padre , David Bale, trabajaba de piloto comercial. Su madre, jenny, trabajaba de bailarina y payasa en un circo. A Christian le encantan los animales. Tiene dos perros y tres gatos (Miriam y Molly). No come carne roja. Se hizo vegetariano a los seis años después de que una de sus hermanas le leyese un libro 'La telaraña de Carlota' que le impactó. Desde ese momento decidió no comer ninguna cosa que pudiese tener sentimientos. Le gusta hacer surf, snowboard, nadar y dar largos paseos en bici. Christian utiliza un acento diferente en cada película. Colabora con Greenpeace, con la fundación de la fauna del mundo, el fondo del gorila de Dian Fossey, el santuario de Redwings, y la misión del niño feliz.
