Christian Bale y Maggie Gyllenhall acompañarona Christopher Nolan a recoger su premio como Mejor Director del 2008 por la película 'The Dark Knight' (El caballero oscuro) donde ambos actores trabajaron, y se recordó al tempranamente fallecido Heath Ledger.

El Showest también premió a Robert Downey Jr por su papel del superhéroe 'Iron Man' y a Anne Hathaway por el de Agente 99 en 'Superagente 86'.
