Pues la verdad que este tema ya lo ha comentado el Sr. Pumares en más de una ocasión, y tiene razón. Hay algunos DVD con opción a recuperar el punto en el que dejaste la película, pero no todos y además no es muy fiable. En cuanto a lo del Blue Ray y el HD me parece a mí que van a fracasar más que el video BETA. La gente acaba de hacer el paso de VHS a DVD después de muchos años y con un cambio muy sustancial de un sistema a otro. Ahora se trata de una mejora que al usuario medio no le importa lo mas mínimo (si a la gente le preocupara la calidad de la imagen no se bajaría las películas del emule) y no creo que el consumidor este por la labor de hacer un desembolso en ese sentido. (Yo desde luego no lo pienso hacer). Un saludo.

Es la pega principal del dvd, aunque algunos los he visto que cuando se interrumpe te piden si quieres iniciar o reanudar escena, a mi no me gusto nunca el dvd ni el cd de la musica porque empezaron vendiendolo diciendo que no se rallaba nunca al contrario que el vinilo y despues fue todo un camelo a la minima esta rallado.

Pero lo mas grasioso es que estas cosas no te la anuncia la TV ni los medios mediaticos. Estos te la meten sigilozamente, a lo callaito, dirijido a los tontitos de turno, por eso cuando te das cuenta se a propagao y ya no tienes mas remedio que tragar.

Es una cuestión de mecánica. El VHS iba con cintas que, a diferencia de los disquitos de las narices, se enrollaban y desenrrollaban según el caso.

¿Cómo guardamos la "posición" de dónde estaba el disco cuando se paró, hubo un fallo eléctrico, llamaron por teléfono, etc.? Fácil, guardándolo en memoria -> Problema. Memorias volátiles. Memorias de escasa capacidad. Memorias frágiles.

El futuro está en el efecto superparamagnético, pero, claro, antes nos sangrarán con toooodas las tecnologías que quieran.

Tenemos lo que nos merecemos, porque somos unos capullos, en el fondo.

Es que nos hemos embarcado en una carrera de locos. Cuando las ventas en un formato empiezan a decaer, hay que redistribuir los fondos de los estudios en otro formato nuevo. El terror de la era digital.

Y nos van a obligar. La diferencia de calidad de un buen VHS a un DVD no es tan inmensa, pero nos obligaron.

Y cuando haya un ganador en la guerra de formatos, nos obligaremos nosotros mismos a comprarlo.

jajajajaja bueno el dvd acaba de nacer Pumares leche! ya kieres jubilarmelo, sí es un coñazo lo ke dices por supuesto y tambien ahora empezar las pelis media hora con anuncios de la SGAE que no se pueden pasar y los de tráfico, una asquerosidad, que los pongan en los de alquiler pues bueno, pero el colmo es que te los meten en los dvds de lujo, los que te compras para toda la vida, hijos de puta!, dentro de 15 años tendré que tragarme un anuncio patatero y rancio de la SGAE que no hay forma de quitarmelo ni pasar palante.

no digais gilipolleces que no teneis ni puta idea, no hay ninguna conspiración para inventarse nuevos formatos ni nada, simplemente la electrónica avanza y el blue-ray es mucho mejor que el DVD. ana tiene razon, cambia el aparato con el Blue ray pero no el soporte, el soporte es el mismo que el dvd.

Si es que digo yo que antes de hablar hay que controlar la materia de lo que se habla, tambien sin saber escribir ni el nombre, BLU-RAY!!, si no tienes ni pajolera idea chico, si lo que quieres es no hacer el ridiculo como es tu caso, mejor que te calles y no hables, algunas veces es mejor no opinar y estar calladitos. ¡El formato es distinto al DVD! Aqui pongo algo de informacion para los que sean novatos-as.

EL BLU-RAY INFORMACION

Desde que comenzó a hablarse del desembarco de la televisión de alta definición (HDTV) en los hogares, nada ha sido lo mismo para el disco DVD. Este soporte para almacenar datos e imágenes funciona a las mil maravillas con los monitores de toda la vida, capaces de reproducir la señal de televisión analógica en 625 líneas. El DVD tiene 720 líneas de resolución.

Pero sus virtudes se quedan excesivamente cortas en una tecnología que puede definir la imagen hasta en 1.080 líneas verticales, por lo que demanda una mayor cantidad de información en el disco. Utilizando un símil prosaico, se diría que ver un DVD en un monitor de alta definición es como conducir un Seat 600 por una autopista de pago.

Es por ello que la industria del entretenimiento lleva años preparando la retirada del DVD del mercado para sustituirlo por nuevos soportes con más capacidad de almacenamiento de datos y, por lo tanto, que respondan con más eficiencia a las demandas de alta definición de las nuevas pantallas de televisión. El resultado han sido los nuevos discos ópticos Blu-ray y HD-DVD, creados por dos consorcios diferentes.

Mientras un DVD puede guardar 4,7 Gigabytes en los discos de una capa y 9,4 Gigabytes en los de dos, el HD-DVD puede almacenar 15 Gigabytes y 45 Gigabytes respectivamente. Por su parte, el Blu-ray tiene capacidad para almacenar 25 Gigabytes de datos en una capa y 50 Gigabytes en doble capa. El equivalente serían 30 episodios de Sexo en Nueva York grabados con calidad normal. En alta definición, la capacidad de grabación se reduciría a unas pocas horas.

BD+: contra la copia y contra los reproductores

Sin embargo, y a pesar de que tanto la tecnología Blu-ray como la HD-DVD permiten fabricar discos para grabar datos, llama la atención el ahínco que han puesto sus fabricantes (entre los que se encuentran los grandes estudios de la industria del cine) en diseñar sistemas anticopia que eviten que los contenidos comprados o alquilados puedan ser grabados por aparatos diseñados para ello.

Esto no es algo nuevo, ya que en los DVD se utiliza un sistema conocido como CSS ('Content Scrambling System') para evitar la copia. Pero la experiencia ha demostrado que este sistema no es difícil de sortear por los usuarios, que han conseguido grabar los contenidos de los DVD protegidos sin demasiados problemas. Los nuevos soportes han dado un paso más allá en la protección de los contenidos con el sistema AACS (Advanced Access Content System), muy parecido al CSS.

Además, Blu-ray incorporará una 'lista negra de grabadores-reproductores' a los que no se permitirá reproducir los discos de esta tecnología. La protección anticopia funcionará por un sistema de claves, conocido como BD+, que los distribuidores de contenidos asignarán a cada grabador. Cada clave cifrada protegerá los contenidos frente a la acción de un determinado modelo, de modo que para poder copiar un contenido comprado o alquilado con un grabador concreto habrá que descifrar dicha clave.

La razón por la que los fabricantes de Blu-ray han decidido asignar una clave a cada modelo es que así les resultará más fácil identificar qué claves han sido descifradas por los usuarios, y por lo tanto qué grabadores pueden copiar los contenidos protegidos. El castigo consistirá en que, a partir de entonces, los nuevos títulos que la industria lance en soporte Blu-ray serán incompatibles con los 'grabadores rebeldes'.

Es decir: aquellos modelos de grabadores-reproductores cuyas claves hayan sido descifradas quedarán inhabilitados para su uso (que es reproducir discos, películas y videojuegos), de modo que cientos de miles usuarios que jamás han tenido intención de copiar archivos protegidos podrían verse afectados por la medida.

Desde páginas especializadas en formatos ópticos, como Cdfreacks, se expone con mucha claridad el problema que puede generar BD+: "Gracias al poder disuasorio de las claves, posiblemente este sistema hará descender de forma masiva la piratería, pero a la vez creará un serio problema a los usuarios honestos". En los foros de la Red donde se debate el tema se apunta que si el sistema se aplica con total rigidez, en pocos meses todos los reproductores quedarán inhabilitados, con lo que Blu-ray se suicidaría comercialmente.

Aunque el sistema de claves está pensado principalmente para luchar contra los reproductores industriales, que se suelen usar en la piratería masiva, también afectará al reproductor doméstico que hace las copias de una en una. Sin embargo, muchos analistas piensan que Blu-ray será flexible y benevolente con los grabadores individuales, ya que el objetivo es exclusivamente luchar con eficiencia contra las mafias que explotan la copia ilegal.

Para evitar la copia individual, Blu-ray ha diseñado sistemas menos agresivos que dificultan la misma mucho más de lo que sucedía con el DVD. El consorcio que ampara este soporte ha desarrollado el sistema 'Rom Mark', una marca de aguas que permite seguir el rastro a contenido que ha sido grabado ilegalmente.

SPDG, otra medida polémica

Además de los sistemas AACS, BD+ y Rom Mark, Blu-ray incorporará el 'Self-Protecting Digital Content' (SPDG). Se trata de un programa que plantará un pequeño sistema operativo en el lector del aparato reproductor y evitará que los grabadores puedan copiar las películas que están leyendo. Según sus responsables, el SPDG ofrece seguridad añadida en caso de que el sistema de protección AACS sea superado por los grabadores.

Sin embargo, algunos programadores y expertos en seguridad ya han advertido de que el SPDG no sólo supone una vulneración de dudosa legalidad del software de los reproductores, sino que además puede ponerlos en grave peligro frente a ataques informáticos al introducir un programa ajeno en el aparato.

Los más alarmistas aseguran que lo más probable es que en pocos días empiecen a infectarse con virus informáticos los discos duros de los grabadores que reproduzcan Blu-ray, ya que sus sistemas operativos son muy sensibles a los ataques. Mark Knox, consejero de Hitachi (empresa integrada en el consorcio que fabricará HD-DVD, su competidor más directo), ha utilizado una metáfora ocurrente para definir las consecuencias de lo que considera una imprudencia por parte de los desarrolladores de Blu-ray: "En un enloquecido intento de cerrar bien la puerta han abierto de golpe todas las

Este es mi primer comentario en este blog. Me ha llamado la atención el tema, del que conozoco algo por encima. La calidad(Vi una prueba blu-ray en Londres hace unos meses), desde luego es excelente, pero... para apreciarla necesitas una pantalla muuuuy buena, demasiado para el bolsillo medio y sobre todo para la gente joven.

La tan cacareada seguridad, bueno, por mucho que quieran vendernos, no es tal. En elblog de E. Dans ya se puso hace meses un artículo a alguien que ya había hackeado el blu-ray, y además ya hay programas comerciales como AnyDvd que se anuncian como capaces de ripear los blu-ray y HD-dvd. Ya veremos que pasa. Saludos

El BluRay es infinítamente mejor que el DVD, la calidad de imagen es 4 veces mejor, Las nuevas televisiones de Plasma y LCD FullHD se aprovechan totalmente con el BluRay, con un proyector FullHD ya es bestial, el DVD es ya una tecnología obsoleta, yo no pienso invertir ni un céntimo más en DVD.

Una vez que has visto una peli en BluRay en un proyector o Plasma FullHD de 50", los DVDs parecen que están borrosos...

Si, Pablo, si. En efecto, el Blu-Ray yel HD-DVD se ven de PM en una pantallón. Yo también lo he visto, en la siti, en london....

Pero, en primer lugar y como tu mismo dices la excelente calidad de imagen es infinitamente apreciable en pantallas grandes. Su coste, tambien muy alto. ¿Bajará ? No.(Mira unas declaraciones al respecto en Enrique Dans hace un par de meses de un alto directivo de alguna compañia de plasma: los precios altos en las pantallas han venido para quedarse). Y quién tenga una pantalla pequeña, 20 ó 30 pulgadas sólo, ¿Que?, . Y además, la tendencia actual es a aumentar las formas en que podemos ver las películas, y francamente, no creo que la calidad de una HD-DVD, sea la mejor para ver una pelí en un monitor de ordenador, ó incluso en un móvil. Para eso, con la de un DVD y mucho menos de eso, me sobra. Pagar 60 euros por una peli en HD-DVD, con una calidad sólo apreciable en un macropantallón, me parece un robo. Creo que los BR y los HD-DVD pueden significar un fracaso cómo en su momento lo fué el Super Audio-CD. Máxime con la presión que se ejerce sobre la venta de contenidos en formato físico, por parte de la distribución tanto comercial cómo digamos "alternativa" en internet ( emule, descargas directas, etc).

A mí el Blu-Ray me la suda un poco bastante, pero tiene un efecto colateral. Y es que en NINGUNA pantalla de cine se ve una película como en esos formatos.

Entonces, primero: ¿vemos en un aparato en casa lo que no se ve en el cine? Entonces no vemos lo mismo. Porque claro, a lo mejor Transformers... pero alguien se imagina, como dice el Indio, a Charlot en HD?

Y luego otra cosa... ¿qué le pasa al CINE, esa sala oscura donde lo vamos a pasar (en teoría) tan bien un fin de semana o cuando se tercie?

Si tenemos salas chapuzas, como mucho una sala digital en grandes capitales, escasas copias en idioma original subtitulado, mantenimiento malo, entradas numeradas, y las mil y una molestias varias... ¿para QUÉ DIANTRES ir al cine?

Y luego se quejan de que la industria va mal (en España, claro). Pero es que tenemos unos Imax que se mueren de asco. La tecnología del CINE de toda la vida se ha quedado OBSOLETA.

Y eso ya está teniendo consecuencias. Allá quien se las apañe.

tiene cojones eso del BLU-RAY, los cines todavía proyectan en su mayoría en celuloide y no se han adaptado al formato digital, que lo inventó el señor Lucas y ahora quieren que nos creamos eso del blu-ray, tiene cojones cómo hay tontos que se lo crean, sin duda porque el mercado ya está monopolizado con el DVD, hace pocos años que ha salido el DVD grabador que es la septima maravilla, hay que quitarse el sombrero, y ahora sale un palurdo y me dice "oiga no, el dvd tiene los dias contados asi vayase preparando", anda vete a la mierda, no hay por donde agarrarlo y el amiguito Pablo diciéndonos que el en su Blu- RAY el DVD se ve borroso y que está obsoleto tú si que estas obsoleto, o sea que ahora la remasterización por lo que dice esta lumbrera es que ni vale, se ve borroso, si te oyen los de la productora de James Bond que acaban de gastarse lo que el ojo de una cara en esa maravilla del “ultímate collection” te matan.

Cojoooón! Cuando iba por la mitad de mi videoteca apareció el DVD y todo al carajo. Me consolé pensando que los DVD son "para toda la vida" y me lancé alegremente a hacerme una "DVDteca".Ahora ya tengo una buena cole de pelis en DVD y me salen con un carajo que despues de leer todos los comentarios no se ni como se escribe exactamente. Paso del invento de marras pero temome que en un tiempo no muy lejano no se fabriquen aparatos reproductores de DVD y hasta cambien las pantallas de ordenador para que estos se vean hechos unos zorros.

¿Es que en este planeta no se puede coleccionar algo a gusto?

No se que modelos de DVD ha manejado el Sr. Pumares, pero el mío reproduce las películas en el mismo punto en el que lo dejé cuando apagué el equipo... y procede de una oferta del LIDL de 60 Euros.

para leer un libro o ver una fotografia se puede hacer en la playa o en la montaña o en la nieve pero para ver una pelicula se necesita una cierta iluminocidad o penumbra que es fundamental a la hora de disfrutar de la calidad de imagen.

Pero el dia que un ingeniero de eso haga una maquinita de tamaño de un libro que pase 24 papelitos por segundo delante de tus narices como si fueran fotografias y sin necesidad de nada electronico seguro que se lo cargaban para que no saliera al mercado.

Es increible que una maquina tan facil de fabricar no se halla inventado.

No se puede criticar un formato porque una abuela, no sea capaz de entenderlo, a ver me explico, si que es criticable , como todo, pero tambien hay que entender que hay ciertas personas que jamas se adaptaran a las nuevas tecnologias. Mis abuelos, que en paz descansen, pensaban que lo que sucedia en la tele era real, por eso se alarmaban cuando veian a un actor en la tele, cuando este habia muerto hace dias en otra pelicula. Tambien era y sera dificil programar un sistema para que grabe un determinado programa, si la abuela no era capaz de ambiar el idioma en un dvd tampoco seria capaz de programar el vhs en un video, por supuesto una cosa que es criticable es que los dvd deberian de estar totalmente localizados en nuestro idioma, incluso los menus. El cambio a vhs-dvd hace muchos años que se ha realizado, el cambio masivo se realizo hara unos 5 años, puedo que a muchos no les parezca demasiado, lo se. Las ventajas del dvd son indiscutibles respecto al vhs.

Otra cosa es la nueva generacion HD, esta como muchas cosas en tecnologia, a venido adelantada a su tiempo, y para irrumpir realmente en el mercado necesitara un par de años más, pero es innegable de que es el futuro, soo basta ver una peli de dvd en una tele de 32" HD ready, de lo más normail, y ver una de blu-ray o hd-dvd, la diferencia es abismal. Cuando el TDT emita en HD real, el parque de televisores de HD sea lo suficientemente grande, y los precios bajen, que ya lo estan haciendo, volver al dvd, resultara ridículo.

la imagen que a persivido el ser humano desde sus origenes han evolucinado mucho y su interpretacion de ahi las diferencias tan abismales de las pinturas rupestres a las mediavales pasando por las renasentista, el impresionismo, cubismo, realismo y hasta llegar al fotoshoff.

el espectaculo cinematografico no ha evolucionado nada en la fecha que estamos porque una batalla y el ataque de un bicho no se puede mostrar en segundo tras segundo corte tras corte y ocultando el plano fijo. todo el rollo esta en el cambio de formato para que se vuelvan a comprar para volver a coleccionar y volver a vender otro producto nuevo porque el mercado de dvd se acabo ya no da dinero.

Sobre los subtitulos, hombre, aprende a usar el control remoto y no tendras que ir a SETUP a cada rato jajaja
