luego de esta depresion se muda a londres donde toma clases de ballet y realiza su carrera de modelo. tratabanjo como extra es contratada para la obra teatral "gigi". despues de esto consigue el papel que la llebo a la fama "vacaciones en roma" junto con gregory peck. consiguio asi el oscar a la mejor actriz por esta pelicula y fue la cara de givenchy con su look "audrey".
